Description

During the Hydrogen Awareness e-learning course, participants are introduced to hydrogen. What is hydrogen? How is it produced, stored, transported and ultimately used? After completing this interactive e-learning course, participants will have a solid understanding of hydrogen, from its technical characteristics to its role in the energy transition and energy system integration.

Target audience

The course is specifically designed for individuals without a technical background who want to understand the opportunities hydrogen offers in the energy transition and the key considerations associated with its use.

Level

This training is at vocational secondary education (Dutch: mbo) level.

Study load
Completing the Hydrogen Awareness e-learning course takes approximately 8 hours.

Study materials
The e-learning course will remain available for 6 months after registration.

Goal

After completing this e-learning course, you will understand:

  • The role of hydrogen in the energy transition, the challenges involved and the history of hydrogen.
  • The fundamental properties of hydrogen.
  • The different methods of hydrogen production and the considerations associated with each method.
  • The available options for storing and transporting hydrogen and the factors that influence these choices.
  • The various applications of hydrogen, ranging from fuel cells to replacing natural gas.
  • The key safety considerations when working with and applying hydrogen.
Completion
Each chapter includes knowledge questions to help reinforce what you have learned. After successfully completing the entire e-learning course, you will receive a certificate of participation.
