World Food Day 2026

Ensuring that everyone in our world has access to safe, nutritious food, while preserving the global food systems that produce it, is a job that's never finished. World Food Day 2026, marked on October 16 by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), puts a spotlight on this challenge. This year’s theme, ‘Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow’, asks how innovation can help build a more resilient food system for the future. We spoke to Susan Mallin, Food Schemes Manager at Kiwa, about what this future may look like and why trust is more important than ever.

Denkavit takes next step in sustainable animal feed with GMP+ MI5.7 Feed LCA

Sustainability plays an important role in the animal feed chain. For Denkavit, a global producer of young animal nutrition and feed ingredients, this is not a new development. The Dutch company has been working for many years on nutritional solutions that contribute to healthy animals and a future-proof livestock sector. By becoming the world's first animal feed organization to be certified by Kiwa according to the new GMP+ MI5.7 Feed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) standard, Denkavit is taking the next step in making the environmental impact of its products and processes transparent and demonstrable.
